Part 3: A Homicide with no Body: The Life and Death of Nicole Cearo
Under the Redline sat down with Sergeant Sean Whitcomb of the Seattle Police Department to discuss the case of Nicole Cearo.
If the Department tends to keep their cards close when it comes to active homicide investigations, it felt like information about Nicole’s case was in a vault. There would be no answers to questions about the stolen truck Mr. Montgomery* plead guilty to, and in which allegedly, Nicole was last seen in alive.
But like any homicide, Seattle Police want answers, community help, and ultimately, justice. They can always choose not to talk about an investigation, but in Nicole’s case, they did.
*Under the Redline contacted Roosevelt Montgomery Jr numerous times online via text and phone for a number of weeks. So far he has declined to comment.
